Not sure what to say?

Carl's passing marks a sad day in the lives of his professional peers in Longmeadow. He and I worked together as fellow school administrators in Longmeadow for many years--Carl as an elementary principal and I as Glenbrook Middle School's first principal. We valued each other's opinions and our administrative contacts were always treated professionally by him. Even in adverse circumstances his views were always positive and forward looking. In a phrase, his cup was never half...

I was in Carl Tripp's first 6th grade class at Center school in 1959. We did not have male elementary school teachers back in the 1950's in Longmeadow. It was a big deal! He turned out to be a wonderful and caring teacher. Teachers often do not know how they influence the lives of the children they teach. I can say that 55 years later Carl still stands out in my memory as one of the best. My sincere condolences to his family.

RIP Uncle Carl. My condolences for Judy and all of the Tripp cousins and their families. I don't remember much about Uncle Carl, but I do remember the huge grin on his face and the room full of stuffed bears. I only wish I could have visited him more often to get to know him better.

With Love and Prayers,

Tom, Steve, Martha and families,
Your dad is remembered when anything "Scouting" brings to mind memories of the Longmeadow troop. He was an integral part of so many lives. We are all better for having known him.

Grampy, Allie & Tara headed to Chincoteague to see the horses.

Carl was "Grampy" to many more than his own family. We loved him. He taught us how to live the good life, with such devotion to his kids, grandkids and luckily for us, their friends and neighbors. We'll miss you Grampy! Thanks for all the wonderful times we shared! XO, Vonnie, Augie, Tara & Eric

Martha and family, so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I remember him as principal of Greenwood when I first moved to Longmeadow and then he was my nieces principal at Center School. He always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed.

Martha, Steve and family - I am sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about Uncle Carl. God bless.
