Carl Martin Wagner

My condolences to the Wagner family on the loss of Carl. He was my track coach over 40 years ago (1982-83 and 1983-84 school years). He was definitely the fun and funniest of the coaching staff. Track practice and meets were some of my favorite times during those two years. Those were tough because of some popular girls being nasty to me. I met Wags at Deer Valley G. C and I got to know him by playing in the Monday morning senior league for nine years. Wags always made most people relaxed and comfortable to play each day. I was proud to be a good friend and greatly enjoyed to play in his foursome. We shared the same birthday and for a few years gave him birthday cards. I was deeply saddened by his passing. He will be missed by me and many others from his Senior league. Charlie Knipe
