Carl F. Waninger, 98, Reading, passed away Aug. 18, 2008, in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township.

Carl worked as a machinist at Progressive Machine Works, Hamburg, for 34 years until retiring in 1972. He had previously worked at Textile Machine Works for 10 years.

My sympathies and condolences to the family and friends that new Uncle Carl best.

I don't remember too much about him, except as a child. He would always give us orange soda when Mom would take us to visit on Elm St.

The last I saw Uncle Carl was my grandfather's funeral, and he looked like he would last forever!

My thoughts and prayers are for his after life journey.
