I worked with Carl at DPS for a short while in 2001. He was a most honorable man and a fine law enforcement officer. He will be missed by all who knew him (with the exception of criminals he was responsible for apprehending.).

Captain Weathers was the epitome of the type of soft spoken but fervent leader one would expect of a Texas Ranger Captain. He enjoyed a great reputation and was highly respected and admired. I never once recall anyone having anything but good things to say about Carl Weathers. My life was surely enriched by having known him. He will be missed.
