Not sure what to say?

Carl was a very kind man, a real gentleman. I feel blessed to have known him and called him my friend. May you feel comfort and peace in the days ahead. Barbara Brainard

Grandpa C, as he became known to us through Wendy's kids, was such a wonderful man. We were so fortunate to be included in family gatherings at Wendy's house with Grandpa C. His love for his family was always apparent, even in tough times. Cody, Tyler, and Emma, always remember that Grandpa C loves you and is forever in your hearts.

We love you all.
Kristi, Ken, Christopher, and Jessica Kelso

Louise and I offer our heartfelt sympathy to you at this difficult time. Carl was a great man, and his influence on others will be felt for years to come. His life was full of meaning and purpose. Our love to you.

Dear Larry & family and Sigrid,

I didn't know Carl well, even though he was my father's cousin. However, I will always remember him as a kind & generous man - always smiling.

My older brother Gary would have liked to attend Carl's memorial service, but he does not have a passport. I don't know if you are aware, but we lost our brother Grant in October just past.

Our deepest sympathies go out to you.

Sincerely,
Greg & Dianne Udy and family

I am sad to hear of the passing of Brother Westman! He was a good friend, always giving hugs and asking about family. He will be missed. Condolences to Larry, Wendy and all the family. Karen Dixon family, son Erik, Monica and daughters.

Dear Larry and family:

We remember Carl with fondess. What a lovely man! So sweet and gentle and caring--especially for your mother, Deenie. Know that Earth knows no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. You can be proud of your Dad for his goodness to everyone. Love, Ted and Verlaine Van Horn

To the Westman Family
I met Carl through his brother Eythor in purchasing the Westview Motel. He was always so thoughtful and gracious, a wonderful sense of humor and a great business ethic. I had missed seeing him walk along the beach at Birch Bay where I could stop and chat with him.
My sympathies to all.
