Not sure what to say?

Thank you, Carl, for being the calm in the storm at Nelson. Answering my questions, sharing a joke and helping me keep perspective. Gone way too soon.

I'm so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I worked with him at the Nelson Institute and he was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to share his expertise. My condolences to his family and friends for their loss.

Carl was a real treasure for the Nelson Institute. I truly enjoyed working with him. May peace be with you during this difficult time.

I briefly knew Carl when I worked at Nelson and he was always kind, jovial and patient - the best you can expect from a fellow human. Sincere condolences to his family and friends

Carl worked with us here at the Nelson Institute for years. He was thoughtful, enthusiastic, and just a little bit sarcastic (in a good way!). He was one of the highlights of my day. When he left, owing to health, it was hard for all of us; he was hugely valued. I shared with Carl a passion for the occasional horse race, and I regret only that our plans to drive to Chicago for a race never came to fruition. This, I regret; he was wonderful company.

So sorry to hear this. I worked with Carl for a few years, 1979, 1980 at Marine Bank downtown Madison. He was always so much fun to be with. We spent some happy times walking together at parades, Carl dressed as Wally Walrus representing the bank. He attended the bank reunion at my house many years later. I send my condolences to his family. Many of his bank coworkers happily remember him.
