Not sure what to say?

Mr. Zdeb came to my son's funeral in April of 1971; totally unexpected though Rich was a senior that year. Sorry I didn't hear of this sooner; my sympathies go out to his family.

I remember on the day I was elected president of the student body, Mr. Zdeb called me into his office and offered me this advice, "In life, never let anyone steal or take away your dreams." I have and will always remember Mr. Zdeb, as a great man, a great educator and all of his wonderful advices he shared with me. Rest in peace, my teacher. Rich Riggio,'Class of 71'

Uncle Carl one of a kind. He helped out our family a great deal and always gave me solid advice throughout the years. I'll miss his funny e mails, words on the phone, and fantastic disposition whenever we connected in person over the miles of separation. It's comforting to know he is reunited with so many loved ones that have passed along before him. All of my love and prayers go out to our "lovely and talented" Aunt Dodie, Cousins Joey and Kip and their families. Andy Carbone

Thank you Carl for loving me. You were a wonderful father-in-law. Thank you for all you did for Chuck. May you rest in peace. Your loving daughter-in-law, Laura.

He was the greatest and I will miss him a lot! Keeping Aunt Dodie and her family in my thoughts and prayers. Love niece, Susan

As a young boy I was the recipient of great kindness from Mr. Zdeb as he recognized the need to, and found a way to temper my own father's overzealousness (aka anger)over his son's (my)"faults." I never knew what Carl said to him but I know I my life was changed for the better because of him.

Very sad to hear of Mr. Zdebs'' passing. I had so much respect for him as my principal from 1970-1974! Such a kind and wonderful man. I remember his warm smile and approachable demeanor. Such a good role model for students and people of any age! God bless!

Carl you and I have been friends forever and will be again in heaven. You are apart of my DNA and I am so grateful. Will miss you buddy.

See you again someday Mr. Carl
