Carl R. Zehr

Carl and I and sisters, Dorothy and Janet (passed away last year), walked the proverbial mile to school every day. A one room school house in Crittenden, Town of Alden, Erie Co., NY. I think we attended first to third grades together but not sure after that because my family moved "up town" across the street from the school in 1940 and Zehrs moved from a large farm two properties south of my grandfather's farm (where my uncle Earl Nehrbosses family and my mother (nee Nehrboss) Bordners...

We were sorry to hear that Carl had passed. We considered him and his family our good friends. We are sure that he will be greatly missed by all.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

We send our sincerest sympathy to you and know you were the best caregiver to Carl. He is now at peace in a beautiful apple orchard doing what he loves.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. It has always been apparent, Carla, by the way you spoke of your father that he was highly loved and a very special man.

Dear Yvonne, we rejoice that Carl's suffering is now finished, and he is with the Lord. Scripture tells us this is very much better than being here. Your sorrow in separation is tempered with the assurance of reuniting with him in glory.
