I served with her in Iraq in
2006-2007. I want you to know that as long as I live her memeory will always be alive.

Not only was she a driver but a gunner, and she had to be the shortest gunner that I have ever seen. I would go outside the wire to gather intel, and I would ride with their unit. There was alwayes healthy banter between Carla and I and she could hold her own.

It has been over 5yrs now since we last struggled to keep up with the squad marching ahead of us. I remember our short legs couldn't keep up, and you would always ask me how I did did it. But you did it too. You are often in my thoughts and strengthen me when I am weak. Miss your smile, your spirit, and your dedication.
