Carl was my best friend and colleague for over the past last thirty years. One is lucky to have a friend like him once in a lifetime. I will always remember and value his friendship. My best to you all.

What a nice, nice man. It was always a pleasure to be around Professor Sanborn. Mr.Sanborn recruited me into the "Honor Society" and guided me through my college education. Carl endured heavy work loads and never complained; he had a great sense of humor. I was proud of him and his family will always be proud of him to. I will miss you dearly Professor Sanborn. May his kindness and guidance carry on forever.

Friends always,
Police Officer Claude Booker,Jr.

I've known Carl since 1973 and was a professor with him at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. In fact we both retired together June 1998. Carl was a compassionate caring person who was very kind. Also I must add a very hard worker. He will always be remembered for his accomplishments with his peers, students and love for his family. I'll miss Carl. Jeff Keil

Dear Andy and Jessie,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. May God comfort you and your family in all ways.
Sincerely,
Judy Allard
