Staff Sgt. Carletta S. Davis

Just coming back again after all these years to say that Carletta has been on my mind lately. It’s sad and bittersweet, but I also love it and am so grateful she is on my mind so much these days. Carletta’s memory is welcome to enter my thoughts anytime!

I am always staggered when I realize just how much I owe to Carletta and others like her. I never take it for granted-never.

My family and I still pray for Carletta’s family and all who love her.

Nearly 14 years since our paths crossed. Sergeant Carletta and I did some cross-training in the fall of 2007 as she prepared to take over my role as PSD (personal security detachment) medic. SSG Davis was on a different team than me while assigned to the 54th but I interacted with her all the time, and I wasn't a medic but a CrewChief/EMT-B that assisted our outstanding medics when we picked up patients. I think of her and others we have lost quite a lot. I wish her family peace. You are not forgotten SSG!
