Carlisle canoeing on Village Creek - March 2010 - copy of a copy

It was a privilege to have known Carlisle and I wish I would have had the chance to know him better. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in loving and eternal peace.

A long life friend is gone and I will miss him. Carlisle was the best person in every way as we worked and played together through public school, scouting and church. My heartfelt sympathy to Grace and the family. Richard Thomas

I met Carlisle on a COM Outdoor Club trip – one of many that we were on together. Carlisle was always considerate, kind, and helpful. I remember one occasion when I had trouble putting up my tent in the dark and had worked up a sweat. Carlisle and Kim were kind enough to go with me down to the river in the dark for a cooling dip (clothes and all). Our club trips never arrived at our destination in daylight (more like after midnight) and we had to get used to setting up camp in the dark...

Carlisle on the Goodwater Trail - Jan 2010 and now on to his Next Great Adventure

I knew Carlisle for quite a few years when I worked in ES and I considered him a good friend and a pleasure to visit with him some times for "business" or during lunch hour. My most sincere codolences to all the family. I keep in touch through friends like Jerry McCullough and Larry Ratcliff.

Sincerely,
Norberto R. Gonzalez

I met Carlisle in 2007 as we worked together on a special project at NASA. Carlisle was a recognized expert in landing gear and brakes and it was a privilege to learn from him. He was always enthusiastic, patient and kind, and a joy to work with. May God Bless you all.

I met Carlisle in The Outdoor Club from College of the Mainland. When he found out that I grew up eighteen miles from him in North Carolina, we knew we had a special bond. He was a super canoe partner, hiking buddy and wonderful friend. I feel so blessed to have known him

Our heartfelt condolences to Grace, Carmen, Phil, and Rusty. It was such a great blessing to count Carlisle as our friend in life. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
