Not sure what to say?

Wow Uncle Mert, It's been 8 years already since you're gone. We have some great memories and I am sooo glad that my kids got to get to know you the way they did. Always a source a laughter with your one liners and your similarities to my dad would make us shake our heads. Miss our heart to heart talks and miss you old man! The gang is now all together! Cheers to one of the best! Joanee

Uncle Mert, wow, it's almost a year since your passing, I sort of miss the calls about needing a ride to a Drs. appointment, to the hospital, & the many visits while you were in the hospital, but the one thing that I will never forget when my father and I painted the garage with white wash, payment being painting my 50 Merc convertible, kept the car for a whole month, and when you called me & told me it was ready, seeing that I wasn't quite 16 yet I was so very excited until I got to the...

Old Mert. Like none other. Glad I knew him and will always, always remember who and how he was. I respected him and what he knew. Yet he was so accessible. Had a great laugh for an old curmudgeon. We all have at least one person in our lives who left lasting effects. Mert was mine. Good-by old friend.

Deepest sympathies on your loss.

RIP Uncle Carl. Lots of fond memories.

I will always remember Uncle Mert with fond memories and all the help he gave me in my 'few' auto accidents. And then I was surprised to find the connection of Arlene's auto body business where he was a frequent and welcomed visitor. He also honored me by attending some of my art shows, albeit dragged there, fully dressed with suit, shirt and tie, by Aunt Elaine.
