Carlo A. Marchetti

My condolences to Carolyn, Lisa, and John on the loss of your father. May you find peace in your happy memories of time spent with him.

CARLO AND I WERE IN THE SAME SQUAD IN KOREA IN 1953 AND BECAME GOOD FRIENDS. WE WENT TO MANY REUNIONS OVER THE YEARS, AND SPENT THE LAST 5 YEARS IN SARASOTA DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. WE GOT TOGETHER WITH CARLO MONTHLY FOR LUNCH DURING OUR TIME THERE. CARLO WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY.

Carlo and I served together in Korea with the Marine Recon unit and attended a number of annual reunions of unit. We have many wonderful conversations. Carlo was a terrific person and will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

Having known Carlo from the days of his daily lunches with his friend Lenny Collamore in the early 1960's through my years on the Springfield City Council and his work with Springfield Central.
