Carlos V. Cornejo

I spent much of my early childhood life in the Cornejo home and Carlos was a wonderful father and husband. He was loved by my family. He was very generous. My brother John and I were just speaking of him last month, (not knowing he had passed), and my brother told me of a story of his generosity of giving him his first car. I remember him to be loving and kind. I hope the family see's this and knows we send our condolences. God Bless you all and may Carlos Rest in Peace in our Lords Kingdom....

i taught with Carlos at Horace Mann Jr. High in 1966/67. We use to go down to Mission St. for lunch. He was an outstanding mentor to me as I was just brand new to the San Francisco Schools. He helped me several times during my teaching career and took me to Wilson High when he became Principal there. He helped me get started as a school administrator and I eventually became Principal at Potrero Hill in the 90's. I was very pleased to see him get appointed our District Superintendent.

Carlos Cornejo was the most charming mentor I ever had.
