Carlos and I were childhood friends, and friends a long time - I'll never forget our train trip to see some girls in Dodge City (we were too young to drive), and the many other fun times we had. I'd hear from him out of the blue throughout the years, and am grateful for having known him.

I forgot to mention in my last entry that I met Carlos' kids back in the late 80s when we went to a barbeque and later to a rodeo on a double-date w/him and his friend. His kids were very polite, just as he always was.

I first met Carlos from a car I was riding in, where he talked to us w/a speaker. He was a fun person. I ran into him again at a church singles group. He had a good heart.

When we were in highschool and Carlos worked at the radio station he would call me and ask what song I wanted to hear. I visited with him not long ago. He was a precious guy and will be missed.
