Read MoreI studied with Carlton at the Colorado College (1971-74). A favorite memory is of his playing Dvorak Slavonic Dances with Albert Seay, four hands, at sight, exuberantly. His gentle guidance and encouragement led me to pursue music theory as my profession.

Carlton was a sweet, gentle soul and exceptionally generous and gifted teacher. I was so fortunate to know him as I decided to study music at the Colorado College.
