Thought and Prayers from the Waterford High School Class of 1963

So sorry to hear of Cartons passing. Carlton and I became friends at Clark Lane Jr High we were homeroom buddies, (Saari, Searle) all the way through Waterford High. He was my partner at graduation and helped with many classmates on our class trip to DC. Many years ago, Reading of his death brought back wonderful memories of our youth. Love to Carton's family, Dutchy Searle Brown

Sheila and Norman. I am stunned to hear about Carlton...hits too close to home and the 'original' Pleasure Beach community is getting smaller. One year - late 1950's? - we were all ice skating in the cove behind Smith's house and I fell thru. Carlton is the only one that came to help me. Always a kind person. So sorry, too young.

Pleasure Beach was a wonderful place to grow up, and Carlton was a pillar of that community. I remember as a boy watching him put his house up across the street from ours. Rest In Peace neighbor.

You will be missed Carlton. Remember stopping over to visit as a little boy. Always looked forward to it.
James R Aberdeen

My condolences to Carlton's wife and family, I am out of town and will not be able to make his services. Carlton was a good friend over these many years, and I was saddened to hear of his passing.

Later myself and my two children would often stop by to say hello. Sheila and Carlton always had an ice cream sandwich waiting and we would chat as the kids enjoyed their treat. Mr. Saari was a gentle soul and loved by all, he will be...
