Read MoreI met Watson and Shirley several years ago when they attended homecoming at Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Alvaton in Meriwether County, where I was the pastor at that time. They were lovely, gracious people, and I remember them fondly. I am saddened to hear of Watson's death but rejoice in his long life and his sincere,deep faith.

I miss my dear grandfather! One of the most fond memories I have of him was the night he was honored by his Shriner brothers at the temple. We danced to music all night! Love you Grandaddy!
