ATHENS - Carma E. Jack, 67, of Athens, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, at her home after fighting a several-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Born June 20, 1949 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Mills Erwin.
She attended Shade Schools and was a graduate of Alexander High School's first consolidated Class of 1967. She was a homemaker. She loved her dogs, Wry and Pepper, and was an active NASCAR fan.
She was married to her husband, Wayne Jack, for 48 years, and they raised their children and grandchildren into their elder years. She is a proud mother of four, Michael Jack, Bradley Jack, Jamey (Natasha) Jack and Travis (Tracey) Jack. She was the loving "Nan" to Catie (Dylan) McDonald, Austin Jack, Ashley Jack, Nicholas "Rocco" Jack and two great-granddaughters.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Jack, three brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to Jagers and Sons Funeral Home or Avalon Animal Rescue. Carma You were a fighter, a great mother and wonderful friend, it breaks my heart knowing you are not sitting across the road, however you are in a better place with no pain no worries and reunited with Michael and two great warriors will be watching over us.
