I taught with Carmella at Plainfield High School for three years. Her sense of humour and incredible wit made her history classes memorable. She was an inspiring teacher and a good friend. Although I met Carmela during her few years teaching Social Studies at Plainfield High School, she was a highly skilled educator with a strong sense of caring for our students. I admired her teaching style and her concern for both students and colleagues. In Greek, we say, "May her memory be eternal". My sympathies.
