Sister Carmela - friend, mentor, teacher, and so much more. She was a cherished gift, and I will sorely miss her. An amazing, tireless woman, who I am always proud to call my friend, and more so that she called me a friend of hers. I loved her and will always remember her fondly. Sister Carmela,a true friend of the children and the disadvantaged.I was her student for only a year in 7th grade but she left a lasting impression. Many of us at Sacred Heart stayed in touch with her over the years and always marveled at her energy. May she rest in peace.
