Dear Carmen, Yolanda and the Barrera family.
While I haven't seen you "girls" in years, I knew this had to be your mom when I saw her beautiful picture! How blessed you are to bear her resemblance! I didn't know your mom but I was privileged to see what kind of mothers you both are as the school nurse to your sweet children, no doubt a credit to your own wonderful mom!! Praying that the beautiful legacy of family, a lifetime of joyful memories and, most of all, God's peace will be your...

Dear Roy Sr., Carmen, and Roy Jr.
Although I never met your wife and mother, I have an idea of what she was like from the wonderful way you helped me in the preparation of my book One-Of-a-Kind Judge, The Honorable Hippo Garcia. Without your input it would have been much less. My prayers are with you that Our Lord will sustain all of you in your loss of this beautiful, kind woman.
Fortunately, Olga Garcia Rodriguez let me know what happened.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Barrera Family. May God comfort and strengthen you during this time of sorrow. Mrs. Barrera was an amazing woman, a true blessing here on earth and will be a greater blessing in heaven.

Dear Yolanda (and Family),

Your Mother was a great woman who touched many lives. Her life is a testimony of her faith, her love of family and dedication to her community. She was a blessing to all whose lives she touched. God's blessings upon you and yours at this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Kathy (Kemmy) Clay
