I just learned that Coach Bianco passed away. I was fortunate to talk to him at our 50th class reunion dinner at the Brandywine Country Club June 2011.
Coaches Modica, Sanner, Bianco, and Zicarelli guided us to the Blue Hen Conference co championship in 1960--a memory I cherish to this day. He was a wonderful role model for my teammates and me. After I graduated, I enjoyed scouting future BHS opponents with Coach Bianco and my best friend Bob Ferrara.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Bianco family! Unfortunately I heard about this too late. Would have loved to honor your Dad at his Mass. Great to hear the names of some of the great BHS teachers that did an exceptional job of molding our young lives. Prayers and Blessings to you all!

Mr. Bianco was my Biology teacher during summer school in 1970 ( I think!). Our class was predominantly girls, and to this day I remember his "Oh, geez" expression as we all walked in! Frog dissection day was hilarious...I have told many people over the years about this amazing teacher, who was all bluster and a sweetheart underneath. I left Delaware in 1976, and didn't know he taught for so long. That means his life was a blessing to generations of students, and he will always be remembered...
