Carmen T. Davis

Dear Davis Family,
I grew up acrossed the road from Carmen's parents (grandpa and grandma Davis) and I cherish the many memories of them. I would visit them nearly each day and sit in his white rocker when he wasn't in it busy rocking. Uncle Walter lived west of us 2 miles and Aunt Lois & Lornie lived 1 mile east and 1 mile north. We were all good neighbors and friends.

I met Mr. Davis when I was only 17 and still remember what a sweet and generous man he was.

I was not a worldly person and quite naive and some might say a *poor country come to city* girl. Mr. Davis was always kind to me and never snubbed or laughed at my innocence. When times were bad you could always turn to him for a hug and a bit of kindness. He always had time for those he loved.

I've missed him since his son and I divorced and hope to see him again in heaven.
