Not sure what to say?

It's so true that Carmen was a mother figure to many of her students, including myself. Carmen was my guidance counselor at Richard C. Lee High School (1968-1972) and was instrumental in getting me a full scholarship to UConn. I know she was disappointed when I chose to pursue the school of life instead of college, but her arms were always open. I was blessed to share bits of her life beyond the boundaries of school. We corresponded (written and telephonic) over the years. I loved her laugh....

To Carmen family your mother was my friend and guidence councelor in Lee H-S . I loved her dearly.
Carmen was ?THE BEST COUNCELOR that any
school distrct would have ever had. ?Carmen loved her students and guided them to success. Carmen and her sister Pura helped me prepare my wedding ceremony in 1978. Carmen had the best looking nails. Carmen will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family and her daughter. Love you all Bernice Vega Looney

Lorraine, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love so very much. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Darlene

Lorraine, Kenito, Lina and Cadia, know that my prayers are with you during this time. Be comforted to know that her work is done here on earth and she is now in her heavenly mansion which has been prepared for her.
Lorraine I treasure the memories of visiting Carmen in Conn. sitting in the kitchen talking about school, education and life. I am blessed by the opportunity to spend the times with her that I did. Thank you for sharing your mommy with me and my family.
