Carmen Gomez, 71, of Ceres passed away Tuesday, June 5th at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Mrs. Gomez was born in Loredo, Texas and was a resident of Ceres previously residing in Patterson for many years. She was a cannery worker for 35 years and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson and St. Jude Catholic Church in Ceres.
Mrs. Gomez is survived by her son, Victor Gomez of Hughson; daughter, Yolanda Higareda of Merced; brothers, Alejandro Rodriguez of Stockton, Danny Rodriguez of Turlock and Roy Rodriguez of Modesto; sisters, Olga Solais of Modesto, Mary Garcia, Hilda Diaz and Miroslava Cantu all of Patterson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm,Tuesday, June 12th at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 13th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery in Patterson.

Our God is a precious and loving God. We will meet again my cousin. Thank you for the good times here on this earth, I can only imagine what they will be like when we all meet in heaven. Please give my regards to my parents.
