MERCED, Carmen H. (Rios) Carmen H. (Rios) Merced, 69, of Hartford, beloved widow of Francesco Merced, died, Saturday, (February 21, 2009). She was born In Gurabo, PR, daughter of the late Ramon and Josefa (Nunez) Rios. She is survived by a son, Edwin Merced and his fiancée, Patricia Osuna of Windsor; a daughter, Daisy Merced-Seecharran and her husband, Rakesh of Hartford, a brother, Juan Ramon Nunez of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Maria Ocasio and her husband, Luis and Carmen Julia Ruiz all of Hartford; seven grandchildren, Ashlei, Nathan, Lexis, Daija, Nikolai, Isaish and Rita Marie; a great grandchild, Xanai and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Frank and Nelson. The funeral will be Tuesday, February 24, 10 a.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday, 4-7 p.m. with a religious service 3:30-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
