Sadler Suess Funeral Home - Telford Obituary

            Carol L. Alderfer, age 91, of Sellersville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at his residence.   He was the beloved husband of Judith (Garnett) Alderfer, and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in June of this year.  


            Born on December 6, 1933, in Kulpsville, PA  he was the son of the late Henry R. Alderfer and Sallie (Buchenauer) Alderfer. He was a graduate of Souderton High school in 1951.


            A proud veteran, Carol served in the United States Army in which he was a rifle expert and received the Good Conduct Medal.  


            He then was employed for the former Ametek U.S. Gauge and was a Foreman in their shipping department for 44 years.


            In his free time, Carol enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making along with leatherwork.  He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, camping, watching Bald Eagles and took interest in the model Lionel trains.


            In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by his children James Alderfer and his wife Pam of Quakertown, PA, Bonnie Galainski and her husband Phil of Franconia, PA, and Dean Alderfer of Sellersville, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren Justin, Sarah, Blain and Makenzie and a great grandchild on the way.


            He is predeceased by his siblings William, LeRoy, Ralph, and Elmer Alderfer and his sister Gertrude Benner.


            A memorial service with a visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA  18969 at 11:00 AM.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 prior to the service.

Uncle Carol and you were always a sunshiny spot in my crazy days! I cannot thank you enough for your caregiving to Kenny!
