Obituary

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The actress best known for voicing the unseen Mrs. Wolowitz on "The Big Bang Theory" has died.

Carol Ann Susi's agent, Pam Ellis-Evenas, says the actress died Tuesday in Los Angeles after a brief battle with cancer. She was 62.

The veteran character actress has made numerous guest appearances on TV shows since the 1970s.

On the "The Big Bang Theory," she wasn't seen on camera as the mother of Simon Helberg's character, Howard, but her character's loud voice with a Brooklyn accent was instantly recognizable.

The executive producers of the CBS sitcom say Susi was a beloved member of the "Big Bang Theory" family, and they praised her "immense talent and comedic timing."

Susi is survived by her brother, Michael Susi, and his wife, Connie.

Not sure what to say?

She was beautiful.....she was family and gave me her complete set of Barbie and Ken dolls....carrying case with clothes
I remember she gave me a hippie pony tail holder ....it's a shame things don't last forever.....
She was on the early episode of ER
And she played the secretary to Michael J
FOX in The secret of my success
She was on Six feet under.....
May she rest in heavenly peace with Aunt Justine and Uncle Emil her parents

Was watching a Kolchak episode for the 100th time. It had Carol Susi as a young lady. I put 2 and 2 together and realized she was in a Seinfeld episode and found out she was the voice of Howard IBBT. She will not be forgotten soon.

I was just watching a documentary. I had no idea that she was the voice of Howard’s mother. I just knew her as a funny actually hysterically funny so funny my sides hurt woman. I would see her at gatherings and she would share stories that made you laugh and for that moment all was right with the world. God rest her soul.

Remembering Carol Ann susi

Sorry for passing

I just woke up a few minutes ago to get a drink of water and my boyfriend was asleep on the couch. The Big Bang Theory was playing on tv. He loves this show. Well it was the episode where Howard had his Mom in an Urn. It is so sad that they had to write into the script the passing of his Mom Wolowitz to coincide with Carol Anne's passing. You know what I mean.I know this was hard on all the cast and family. Fly high sweet Angel. "Howard!"

What an incredible, delightful force of energy she was. How blessed were we whomever had the grace of time in her presence. It's hard to imagine that ANYbody who shared space with Carol Ann didn't smile at one time or another while she was around. Sad as we may be that she no longer walks among us, Pure Joy is the immediate thing I feel when I hear her name or see her picture. Thank you dear Carol Ann, for touching my life like no one has before or since. You will always be my laughing,...

Spencer luff nice mom on the Big Bang theory miss you
