CAROL BERNING Obituary

CAROL BERNING, 73, of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at her residence. Born June 16, 1940, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Dena (Nord man) and Robert H. Berning. She was a Professor of Nursing at Ball State University and also retired from the V.A. Hospital in Marion, Ind. Surviving are her sisters, Elizabeth "Kady" (John F.) Aumiller of Fort Wayne and Marge (Paul) Gevers of New Haven; brother, Robert (Sandra) Berning of Bryan, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A private service was held. Burial in Concordia Gardens Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the church of donor's choice. www.hockemeyermillerfh.com
