So sorry to read of the passing of your mom. Sounds to me like she was some wonderful woman.

I was lucky to meet Carol about two years ago.What impressed me the most was her honesty and sincerity. She will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched. I feel blessed to have known her and offer my sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Not everyday do you get the chance to know someone as caring and loving to our children as Carol Bowen was to all of ours. She shared with each and every child her love for life, God, and family. During her time at St. Joseph's school as our librarian, she ran a book club after school. Every week, she made sure that they all had a drink and a snack that she provided. These children all grew to love her like she was their grandmother. I looked around the church at her funeral mass and...

Paul and Carol invited my husband and I for an overnight on their sailboat. We had only just met them, but they welcomed us as long-time friends. We bought a sailboat just like their's and enjoyed cruising with them for several years. I'll always remember Carol's smile.

Mrs. Bowen was the nicest woman. She was my prinicipal, when I was in elementary school at St. Kevins. She will truly be missed.

As friends from RI Yacht Club, Carol and Paul were dear friends. As the years went by we missed them more and more. Our prayers are with your family.
