Not everyday do you get the chance to know someone as caring and loving to our children as Carol Bowen was to all of ours. She shared with each and every child her love for life, God, and family. During her time at St. Joseph's school as our librarian, she ran a book club after school. Every week, she made sure that they all had a drink and a snack that she provided. These children all grew to love her like she was their grandmother. I looked around the church at her funeral mass and...

Paul and Carol invited my husband and I for an overnight on their sailboat. We had only just met them, but they welcomed us as long-time friends. We bought a sailboat just like their's and enjoyed cruising with them for several years. I'll always remember Carol's smile.
