I just learned of Carols passing. What a shock! I loved meeting up with Carol at the various MS conferences and getting caught up with each of our lives. She usually came with Murray and you could see how close they were. She had a great energy and enthusiasm for life and learning. My deepest sympathies to the family as she will be greatly missed.

I am a neurologist who worked with Dr. Carol Boyle at the Workers' Compensation Board in Edmonton, Alberta.
I greatly regret the loss of a wonderful physician and a person who was so full of life. What I particularly learnt from Dr. Boyle was her incredible neurological resources. She organized her Drop Box which allowed her to access information very efficiently allowing her to work as a neurologist at a very high level.
I had many talks with her, the only problem being that...

I was a student who got the privilege of being taught medical ethics by Dr. Boyle. She was a lively, fun, and inspiring woman to be around. This news greatly saddens me, but her life should be celebrated and remembered.

It is with great sadness I have learned of Dr. Boyle's passing today. I worked in her office a number of years back. She was a lovely, funny person who was so kind and a joy to work with. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers to her family. Terry Kilkenny

Peter and I first met Carol when she was in Nairobi, on a preceptorship with Karen Gelman. What adventurous young women they were! When we returned to Canada and moved to Saskatoon Carol was our family doctor. We were always struck by her energy, intelligence and self-confidence. It doesn't make sense that someone as gifted as Carol is gone. Our sympathies go out to her family.

Dr. Carol Boyle was my family doctor when she first began her family medical practice. I remember thinking she was very young, however it did not take long to discover that it was my good fortune to have such a caring, competent, and kind doctor. A number of years after she left family medicine I encountered her at a gym and she immediately remembered me - I felt honored. She was one of a kind.

The memorial this past Friday was a beautiful celebration of Carol; poignant and moving. I was so very pleased to be there; to honor such an amazing woman and dear friend. My heart goes out to Murray, Kirsty, Andrew, and Grace.
