Carol A Cassidy ( nee Mc Dermott ) 73 of Fanwood died peacefully at her home on Wednesday
June 1, 2016.
Funeral will be offered at 8:30 am on Monday June 6 2016 from the
Rossi Funeral Home 1937 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains. Funeral Mass 9 am
at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Scotch Plains, Interment Holy Cross Cemetery
North Arlington. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 on Sunday June 5, at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Carol to a charity of your choice.
Born and raised in Union, NJ Carol settled to Fanwood in 1983. Carol attended Seton Hall
University in South Orange. She was a member of the Fanwood Democratic Club and was
an Extraordinary Minister and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Carol worked as a branch manager for Howard Savings Bank and in 1980
after 17 years of employment left to raise her children.
Carol is survived by her husband of 37 years, Paul. Son Paul J. Jr. Daughters Wendy and
Erin E. Lodini ( Lewis ). Grandchildren Ashley Taylor, Elizabeth & Aubrey Lodini.
Brother, Rev. Charles McDermott, Joseph McDermott(Susan), and sister Judith Bryla (Leon).
Carol and I were cub scout leaders together for Paul and my son, David. She was such a caring, thoughtful and supportive person. My condolences to Paul Sr, Paul Jr., Erin and Wendy. I'm sure she will be greatly missed.

Carol & I went to Union High School together. I remember her from those days. On behalf of the Union High School Class of '61, please accept our sincere sympathy. She will be remembered at our 55th reunion in October.
