Not sure what to say?

Carol, I am very sad to hear of your passing! Dear one RIP WRAPPED IN THE ARMS OF OUR LOVING LORD You are with Bobby the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE GOD BLESS THE TWO OF YOU

When I was about seven years old, seventeen-year-old Carorl visited my grandparents in Norfolk, Virginia, as her mother and aunts had done during many summers of their childhood. As Carol got ready for a local dance, I was in awe of her beauty, self-possession, and high spirits. We remained friends for the rest of her life, sharing stories of family history and hanging out at various family events. Carol was for me the go-to family historian. She and Bobby came to Norfolk for an...

so sorry for lost she got tomtoes every summer from my mom hazel haik

We have lost an icon to life and the arts. I had the pleasure of teaching her daughters at Richfield High School and enjoyed their wit and humor. Well do and save us a place.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Carol and my sister, Shirley Lanham, were such great friends. How pleasant to have known two happy and caring ladies.

Learning of Carol´s death was a shock. Though she had been in The Plaza when I left 2 weeks ago for a trip the word was she was on the mend, soon to be up and around, back in her apartment, just around the corner. Reading her lengthy obit gave so many more details of her numerous accomplishments than most of us here realized. And we already knew she was a very busy lady with diverse interests and strong opinions. I only knew her for a bit over a year, which was always fun, but not long enough.

We will truly miss your mother/grandmother! Although we did not see much of her late in life we often thought of her. Before Bobby died, we saw each other at Ridgewood CC and Nancy, of course, grew up attending St Paul´s. I remember a specific incident that I will long remember with fondness: In 2003, I was sent to Iraq as an aviator at the start of the war. I was there for a year and was returned to the US via Shannon, Ireland to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky in 2004. I had to "out brief" at Ft...

Very sad to hear the news. You were a nice friend and certainly loved by all your kin.
