Dear Mr. and Mrs. Daniels -
I was saddened to hear at the Notre Dame dinner last week that you lost another child. Chris and I attended the Notre Dame dinner for the express purpose of supporting the Wally Daniels Scholarship Fund. My heart and prayers go out to both of you again. Gerry Brenneman

Dear Daniels Family: I was at the Notre Dame dinner honoring Wally with Gerry Brenneman when we heard from Fr. Bryne of your daughters death. I am sorry you are again dealing with a loss. Your family is thought of and prayed for often by us. I do want you to know Wally still lives in us. He'll never be forgotten.

We are sorry to hear about Carol. She will be remembered for all the good times that we had together through the different phases and families that we shared. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Connie, Rob and Lisa and their families during this difficult time.

My brother and I grew up next door to the Daniels family. We were a pretty typical bunch of kids - best friends one day, working our way through childish squabbles the next. It's been well over 40 years since that time, but I remember Carol as the "happy" kid, the peacemaker among us with a smile that could light the night.

I am so very sorry to hear of Carol's passing. The family will be in my prayers.

Barbara, Wally, & all the Daniels family. I am sorry that I could not be at church on Tue to pray with you, but be assured that I am joining my prayers to all of yours for Carol. She will be remembered at Mass as will all of you in this hard time of letting her go back to God from whom she came. The Lord knows how hard it is to close a chapter of family history; let the Lord be close to you at this hard time.
