Carol (Green) Delaney, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother left this place to be with Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017
Carol was born to Hickman and Ruby (York) Green on September 1, 1940 in Houston, Texas. The family lived in Oglesby, Texas and settled in Deer Park, Texas after WWII. Carol (Green) Delaney was a loving, unselfish person who centered her life and raised her family anchored by a strong relationship with God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Carol married Michael P. Delaney Sr. and had two sons, Michael (Mike) P. Delaney Jr and Richard (Rick) D. Delaney then were blessed with daughter Tamara (Tammy) D. Delaney. Richard Delaney and first wife, Julie Delaney gave Carol ("Grammie") three granddaughters; Lindsey Taylor, Brittnie Partin, Kallie Delaney, and a grandson, Tristan Delaney. Richard's marriage to Debra (Duncan) Delaney added two more grandsons for Carol, Kazmen and Chase Duncan. Michael P. Delaney Jr. blessed mom with a wonderful daughter-in-law Angela Delaney. Tammy married Steve Maddux and gave Grammie grandson Steven Maddux and granddaughter, Ashley Maddux. Granddaughter Lindsey and her husband Pete Taylor blessed Grammie with great-grandsons Westin and Cason Taylor. Granddaughter Brittnie and her husband Doug Partin provided an additional blessing with the birth of a great-granddaughter, Adley Partin. Carol has four sisters, Sandra (Sandy) Hambrick, Wynona (Gaye) Hubble, Hope Ramirez, and Faith Westerberg. Sandy and husband Carrol Hambrick blessed Carol with nephews John Paul, Jeff, and Stephen Joseph who preceded Carol in rejoicing with our Heavenly Father. Gaye and husband Ted Hubble blessed Carol with nephew, Nathan and niece, Natalie. Faith and husband Bob Westerberg blessed Carol with nieces Sarah and Hannah.
Carol will be missed by her family, but they are comforted by knowing she finally is with her Earthly father and mother, and beloved nephew Stephen Joseph rejoicing with our Heavenly Father and all of the Angels in Heaven. Services celebrating Carol's life were held last week at Grand View Funeral Home where she was laid to rest following services at Grand View Memorial Park.
