Carol was a wonderful friend, colleague and mentor. Her smile, laughter and tears were always close to the surface and generously shared. She loved her family, friends, students and nursing - deeply and broadly - and gave of herself to all of these constantly. I have missed her so much this winter and spring - memories of our times together over the decades keep surfacing. She left us so much that is good. Hugs to her family and friends. Laurie

There will never be another Carol Doane. She was an enormous gift to USM faculty, students and staff in the nursing department. She was loyal, tireless and integral to who are and will be in the years to come. Her "touch" on this world is larger than we will ever know.
Peace Carol.

We appreciate her years of service and hope that you can find joy in the many ways she worked in the interest of local community agencies and more global service.
