Not sure what to say?

Yes I am sure you heard who the Great Pumpkin was. I was not alone as Sheila was also involved. Great memories for she and I. Bunny Long took me out for drinks and I got tipsy on a Singapor Sling and admitted to her on Holloween night. You should have been there - what a hoot! After 2 years it finally came out. I think of you whenever I see pumpkins.

Carol was not only a great instructor, coach, and friend. I will never forget some of the crazy times we had with her. She and Norma Long were the best! Love the Great Pumpkin

There is hardly a day goes by that I don't think of Carol. Not only being my mentor but also a friend. She never gave up on me and was honored to know her. She could be tough but also kind and we did have many laughs. Miss you from the "Great Pumpkin".

When I see the movie A League of Their Own I think of Carol and Norma Long. The song at the end "This was my playground" makes me think of these two fine ladies. Essex was not just where we were taught, achieved, or played sports - it was our playground too. They were professional but showed their "human side" and was a joy to be around. The "Great Pumpkin" thing went on for a long time and it was funny. You will never be forgotten in the hearts of all those you touched. BT

Love the memories of golf outings a few years back....her wit and talent were extraordinary. Thoughts and prayers coming your way Twenty. (Denny)

Carol was my Health 101 Prof in the 80's. She was a friend and former Stress Management instructor when I worked for the Health Department. We had some great laughs. She had a heart of gold. I'd lost touch with her over the years and am so sad that she's gone. My heart goes out to her wife and her family. Carol was the reason we got our first black lab, Gus!

So so sorry to hear. Carol was my coach at ECC 1976 - 1978...She was the best! Sending thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends. I enjoyed the times I had the opportunity to work with Carol. I am sorry for her passing but know that she played an important role in so many lives, especially all of the students trained at CCBC. Rest in peace!!

To my wonderful teacher, mentor, and friend. You were one of the great ones at Essex. You all were like a second family while I was at Essex. Rest in Peace my friend. So many wonderful memories that I will treasure always. Barb Thomas Brukiewa (BT).
