Not sure what to say?

I am sorry my note is so late. I live in New York and am linked to Pittsburgh via the internet. I am deeply sorry that I was travelling at the time, so could not attend Carol's services. I owe her and the late Ms. McGrail so much. You see, Carol taught me in 6 lessons how to read music. This kind of thing does not come easy to me, but Ms. Forsythe was "the miracle worker". One day, the circle of 5ths, the strings of the guitar, the cords all came together and I could transpose music. Six...

We worked in the Fulton Building with Carol and in the most recent location, on Penn Avenue. She was always so warm and caring and so dedicated to her teaching. We will truly miss her.

Miss Forsythe was my voice teacher for six years. I was stunned to learn of her sudden death. She preferred having my lesson at the end of the day so we could spend more time together. I loved hearing the latest things her family puppy, Buddy, was doing in his obedience training and his recent "graduation." She loved hearing all the new things my four adopted children were into. My four year old daughter, Lauren, and 5 year old son, Jake loved to come and sit it the waiting room while I had a...

My sympathies to you on the loss of your sister, Carol. She was so devoted and dedicated to her music and to her students. Carol became a dear friend as she always showed her deepest interest and concern about your own life. Carol was very encouraging and professional as well. It became such a routine to go and listen to my daughter sing that I was actually learning how myself. In fact, when my daughter wasn't able to make a lesson, I took her place. Carol gave me such a compliment and we...

My mother said that everyone in my family had spent so much time in her waiting room during my lessons, that they felt like a friend of the entire family had died. She always asked everyone how they were doing, what they were up to. She always made time if there was something going on that I needed to reherse extra for, or if I needed to make up a lesson. She was a good friend and a great teacher. She will be missed.

Ms. Forsythe will be missed. She gave me confidence in my self and helped me learn to sing again. I will always be greatful for that.

May God Bless you in your time of sorrow...My mother always told me of Carol's beautiful voice....Take care..and cherish all the memories you have of your sister....
