Camden, AR- Carol A. Foster, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010, in Ouachita County Hospital. Born October 29, 1935 to Gerhardt and Antoinette Vonk in Amsterdam, Holland. Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fred B. Foster of Camden, AR; three daughters and sons-in-law; Diane and John Kinley of Harmony Grove, Camden, AR; Debby and Neal Sutton of Texarkana, TX; Donna and Doug Herring of Harmony Grove, Camden, AR; and one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Paula Bergstrom of Camden, AR. "Granny" is survived by twelve, grand children, Brandon and Danna Vint of East Camden, AR, Henley and Andrew West of Little Rock, AR, Lane and Brenna Kinley of Camden, AR, Jay Sutton and Kevin Sutton of Texarkana, TX, and Alex Peterson of Harmony Grove, Camden, AR; Jade and Cindy Herring of Hot Springs, AR and Brock Herring of Camden, AR; as well as three great- grandchildren, Grace Vint and Dannon Vint of East Camden, AR; and Caleb Herring of Hot Springs, AR.

A native of Holland, Carol married her handsome American soldier in 1959 and embarked on her American dream. An avid lover of Lake DeGray, Carol loved nothing better than spending the day on the lake fishing or just admiring the water. Whether they called her "Mother" or "Granny", Carol's grandchildren were always a bright spot in her life. Her best days were spent on the lake with her grandkids and her beloved poodle, Callie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Proctor Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Foster will be at 2 PM Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Edgar N. (Eddie) Sutton will officiate.
