She also made pillowcases for me as I was the coordinator for Ryan's Case for Smiles distributing pillowcases to children with cancer.

Carol was a dear friend of Sophie's from the Heritage Quilt Guild. After Sophie moved to North Carolina to live with me, Carol kept in close touch. They had so many wonderful phone calls about quilt projects, family and of course UCONN Huskies basketball. My Mom missed talking to her so much after Carol could no longer take phone calls.
