Dear Anthony: You have my sincere condolences. I did not find out that Carol had passed until last night at Peirce. Carol was such a wonderful, loving and caring person. I will miss her greatly. You were such an inspiration to me. I will never forget your kindness during troubled times in my family when I was just a child. You were such a wonderful person and a fabulous, kind-hearted teacher. I personally will never forget you. I may have grown older, with children of my own, but I never forgot the kindness you personally have shown me when I was just a kid having family troubles, and the understanding of them when I was to young to know myself. What an amazing teacher she was to have. You always new you were in trouble when the "Cagney & Lacy" team came down or saw you doing something wrong. I was saddened to hear of her passing for I know she will be dearly missed. Rest in peace and may the good lord watch over your family. (AP, 1989)
