I will always remember Aunt Carol and Uncle Arthur for the tremendous kindness, generosity and love they gave us when we moved to Palo Alto in 1961. Even though my mother Elaine had divorced Harold, Arthur's brother, they embraced us with love and treated us like family. When we moved to Palo Alto in 1961, Aunt Carol and Uncle Arthur were wonderful to us. Uncle Arthur met us at the airport and drove us to their home for dinner. Aunt Carol rented a house for us and found a school for my sister. They introduced us to their pediatrician, Dr. Joe Davis and brought us to their swimming and tennis club, Foothills. They also introduced us to our Synagogue, Congregation Beth Am. We will never forget their caring, generosity and love.

I am so very sorry to hear about Carol's death; my heart goes out to you both.

I met Carol only once but she had a lasting impression on me for her graciousness, strength and her knowledge of and sophistication in using plants and flowers.
