On behalf of Bay Area Turning Point's board of directors, staff, and clients, I offer our sincere condolences on Cari's passing. I met Ms. Cari in 2011, and she was a breath of fresh air. She aided many survivors by getting them into shelters, sending staff on victim accompaniments, and other referrals. I distinctly remember her discussing seeing Orcas on a cruise in Alaska. She knew I loved animals. May her spirit of community and selflessness live on.
