Dear Lisa and Steve,

It is not easy to lose a parent. I am keeping you in my prayers, that God will comfort you both and your entire family.
Those we love are with the Lord, and the Lord has promised to be with us. If they are with Him and He is with us, they cannot be far away.
I was so saddened to first see the notice of your mother's passing in the paper today, and would have preferred to give my condolences in person.

It has been said that children are a direct reflection of their parents. I had the opportunity to know Steve and Lisa while they were high school students of mine at Greendale. Both were outstanding individuals. Their parents raised two great kids, and were great people in their own right. My deepest sympathy to the entire Guendert family in this time of loss of their mother Carol. May the memories and caring friends comfort you in this time of loss.
