I just read of Carol's death in the Equity News. I performed with her at UMKC in a number of productions, from "Marat/Sade" to "She Stoops to Conquer." She was a smart, vibrant actress who was also kind and considerate to others. I am sad to hear of her passing.

I first met Carol Pfander when she was a Graduate Student in Theatre and I was a Speech Education Major at UMKC. She was a gorgeous blonde dynamo who would be up late in rehearsals for plays she was in, then get up early on Saturdays to assist in Children's theatre productions. All were attracted to her pert, smiling face and high energy, productive attitude. We lost touch after she moved to New York and I moved to Los Angeles; but people in Kansas City would keep us posted on each others'...
