I'll miss CJ forever. She was my adopted mom and a woman that epitomized the concept of young at heart. She was a friend to all and a lady through and through. Say hi to Frank for us, babe.

CJ-my New Orleans mom...Jen and I have always said when we "grow up" we want to be just like you! I will miss our times together...Buffa's will not be the same without you nor will Commander's...a wonderful part of New Orleans will be missing. Our loss is heaven's gain...the jazz clubs there will be graced with your laughter, smile, and always interesting stories. Thank you for the laughs, the knowledge, the fun times.... Thank you for always caring about Corey and my life. I wish I could be at your memorial service but, I'm in a Charlotte hospice with my Aunt Honee who will soon be joining you. Show her a good time! You often said you wanted to meet her...little did we know it would be this way. I love you,CJ...Corey loves you...you will be so missed.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting CJ personally, I always enjoyed Cindy's CJ stories of how she enjoyed and lived life to it's fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with my friends Cindy & Jim and all of CJ's family.

I first met CJ (& Frank) at Cindy & Jim's wedding in 1986 and was immediately drawn to her. CJ was so full of life with her bright eyes & clothes, just a sparkling! I totally loved the way she talked and could tell a story (something that Cindy has definitely gotten from her mother). I will always keep her in my memories. Love, Cyndi Mac

CJ (and Frank) were very dear to us. They visited our home on numerous occasions through the years and always "lit up the place".... with their energy, their humor and their love. CJ never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will always be in my heart. RIP, dear friend.

It was so wonderful to have got to know you. You and Frank embraced me since I first got to know you when I came to play in New Orleans 1997. What a cool lady you were, always with such a young spirit! Lots of love to your family.

You couldn't meet CJ and not love her. I've known her for fifty years and it was always a blast to be with her. She and Frank were a perfect pair... two people who loved life and people and knew how to enjoy every minute of every day. Fritzels, the NOLA jazz scene, the bridge world -- they will never be the same without them.

CJ was a Southern Belle with intelligence, strength, grace, and charm. We will miss her and will especially think of her when we are in Fritzel's.

I met CJ and Frank in 1998, the first year I visited New Orleans and went to Fritzels. I will never forget how welcoming they were to a visitor from Canada. I would ensure that I had either spoken to them or arranged to see them on my bi-annual visit. I last saw CJ at the celebration of Frank's life at Fritzels on 20 April. It was a difficult day for everyone but CJ knew that she had so much support surrounding her. I called her when we were there this September but was unable to see her due to her impending surgery.
She will remain in my heart always as a beautiful, warm and loving woman, who loved life. Miss you CJ, Love Jude
