Not sure what to say?

Carol is unforgettable, in her honesty, her joy, her energy, her wit, her devotion to friends and family. I will miss her and regret I didn't get to play that round of golf we talked about.

I knew Carol though my husband's (Bill Supak) work at the Port. He thought the world of Carol and really enjoyed working with her. I had the great privilege of getting to know Carol over the years. Her energy, positive outlook and keen sense of humor always made me smile. Her passing is a huge loss and I will forever regret not getting to know her better. Linda

Carol and I lived across the street from each other since grade school. We have remained friends since, including both being Honored Queens. I admired the way Carol ran the meetings: very efficient; short and essential. We were roommates at OSU and have always shared the same outlook on politics. The world could use a lot more Carols.

Dear Frank and family members: Carol and I both worked at TriMet during our careers; she and I became friends because we both loved Bearded Collies. Our Beardies had several play dates; after my move to a home along the west side of Glendoveer Golf Course, Carol visited occasionally for doggy love on the way to lunch; now and then I would find a golf ball in my back garden, with a note, `Hi Sandi, love Carol´ sometimes with the date noted. What a treasure to find her little golf-ball...

I consulted with Carol a few times during her tenure at TriMet. I came to know that anyone who had an issue with HR at TriMet would get a fair shake from Carol. I´m sorry that she has passed. She was a great lady. RIP

Carol and I had a number of mutual friends, but finally met at a friend's wedding over 30 years ago. She had just been promoted to manage the Aviation Marketing Department at the Port of Portland. At the time I was working for an advertising and marketing agency. She suggested I apply for a position in her department. Carol became my boss and mentor later that same year....and soon a friend. We worked, traveled, played golf and lunched. I was in awe of her fairness, intelligence and abilities...
