Carol Koehne Obituary
Carol Ann Kaufman Koehne, Virginia Beach, VA, loving wife and mother, passed away on December 27th. She was preceded in death by two of her nine children, Mary Pruett Lewis and Theresa Koehne. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard J. Koehne, Sr. and children Kathy and husband Dick Williams, Susan and husband Kerry Gregory, Carol and husband Keith Denson, Martha Fraser, Barbara and husband Denny Griggs, Patricia and husband Larry Stapleton and her only son Richard Koehne. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Matthew, Emily and Leigh Williams, Keith Pruett and sisters Teresa and Jessica Lewis, Joshua Tolbert, Lauren and Anna Stapleton, and Devin Koehne. Carol was a source of strength and a model wife and mother to her family; a true lady to all who knew her; she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was a career Navy wife and homemaker whose life exemplified her devout Catholic faith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 31, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia at www.cceva.org.

I am so sorry that i will not be able to attend your Mothers service. I know my mother will be there. I will make it a point to catch up with you next time I am in VB. Peace and Light to you and yours. My deepest sympathy to your father especially there is no doubt he was eternally devoted to her,it sounds weird but try and soak in all the love that will be there for your sweet mother tomorrow and remember it. It helps later on, it did for me when my dad died

Uncle Richard and all my cousins,
Tom and I and Dad are very sorry to hear about the loss of Aunt Carol. I remember her well and her visits to California often. I always loved to see her and listen to her stories. She will be thought of often in our home. I still have the wedding sampler she made for us hanging on the wall. Has been there for nearly 33 years!! We had good times. I remember when you guys lived in San Diego and we used to visit as little kids. We had fun! I will always remember Aunt Carol, she will forever have a special spot in my heart. God Bless you all!! We love you Aunt Carol.
